CHEMICAL PEELS
Chemical Peels
Chemical Peels are a cosmetic treatment designed to improve the appearance and texture of the skin by applying a chemical solution that exfoliates the outer layers of the skin. This process helps to remove damaged skin cells, reduce fine lines, treat acne scars, and even out skin tone.
The procedure involves applying a chemical solution to the skin, which causes controlled peeling or exfoliation. The depth of the peel can vary, depending on the type of solution used and the desired results:
Supercial Peels
Use mild acids like alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) to exfoliate the outermost layer of skin. They are often used to treat minor skin imperfections and can require little to no downtime.
Medium Peels
Use stronger acids like trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to penetrate deeper into the skin. They are effective for treating more pronounced skin issues such as moderate wrinkles and uneven pigmentation.
Deep Peels
Utilize potent acids, such as phenol, to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin. These peels address severe skin damage and wrinkles but may involve a longer recovery period.
